The opportunity to gain Chartered Teacher status was something I was instantly interested in.  After exploring what the course offers, it was not only something that could benefit my professional growth as an experienced teacher, but would ultimately benefit the students I teach, and the colleagues who I work with. 

When I first attended a meeting with the Lion Alliance, I was impressed with the opportunity to talk through the support they would provide, and to speak to previous candidates and see samples of their work. Although the course seemed quite overwhelming, the fact that the Lion Alliance would be there for support throughout made it feel more achievable.

The support from the Lion Alliance has been incredible throughout the whole process. Regular meetings have meant that we have continuous feedback on our work and step-by-step support for each unit, along with opportunities to peer assess work and give each other ideas, support and guidance. Without this support I don’t think I would have completed the Chartered teaching course.

I would certainly recommend the Chartered Teaching Programme as a way to become evidence informed and to consistently improve teaching and learning within the classroom.
