The Lion Alliance aims to develop a passion for learning, removing any artificial barriers or bias to ensure that everyone reaches their full potential. We believe in crafting a culture of learning which encourages all to enquire, develop and mutually share for the benefit of all.

We've moved beyond collaboration into co-construction; ensuring education and pedagogy is developed by our colleagues to reflect the needs and aspirations of all learners. We want our learners to be prepared and equipped with the skills to be a successful member of a global and technological society and have made great strides to raise our environmental and digital awareness.

The Lion Alliance is committed to providing high quality support and training for teachers in every stage of their career, from Initial Teacher Training all the way through to developing new school leaders.

WE HAVE 3 CLEAR AIMS AND WORK CLOSELY WITH OUR PARTNERS TO: 

- Recruit and train new teachers through a well developed and supportive ITT (Initial Teacher Training) programme each year.
- Develop regular and valuable CPD (Continual Professional Development) opportunities for all of our alliance members and beyond.
- Provide school to school support to bring about improvement and raise the standards of teaching both within and beyond our alliance.

To help us achieve all of our aims we deliver high quality teacher training and CPD by utilising the expertise of our colleagues within the Lion Alliance. These consist of staff members from both primary and secondary schools and even our university partners, and are aimed at providing our colleagues with the opportunity to develop pedagogy, innovate and show best practice.

We firmly believe that innovation within teaching, action research and sharing good practice are essential in ensuring a world class education for all and is something that we will continue to grow.
