LION LEADERSHIP COURSES

The Lion Leadership courses are an excellent opportunity for those looking forward to developing their leadership skills for the next stage of their career.
They have been thoughtfully planned to allow colleagues both internally and externally to the Lion Alliance to benefit from the expert knowledge that our staff members hold. These staff members are in key positions and are hand picked from across our partners schools to draw on their expertise; nurturing a new generation of school leaders.
Our courses run from February to December every year and we advertise for the new cohort of participants between December and February. Check our website again during this period to find out how you can join.
WHAT ARE THE LION LEADERSHIP COURSES?
Our courses are a meticulously selected set of peer learning group sessions so participants can gain a deeper understanding into aspects of more senior roles that they might be looking to progress into in the future. They have been designed with the NPQ’s (National Professional Qualifications) in mind, considering the same objectives and providing an alternative option that is rooted in learning directly from those employed in senior roles currently.
As the relevant NPQ’s for anyone aspiring to become a middle leader and for middle leaders themselves being discontinued, we offer a fantastic course in lieu of these gaps, at a competitive price.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Each participant will receive a ‘participant guide‘ including these course outlines and other information that they may find useful. As the courses require a fee, there are clear expectations and procedures set out for participants at the start of the course so that professionalism and good conduct are followed by both those hosting the course sessions and by participants themselves.
Participants on all 3 courses will also be required to complete a project as part of their learning. This is a personal project that will vary between people on the course and there is a session to discuss this in further detail. It’s important to note that the project will explore something that is relevant to you and your needs or aspirations and will require engagement by participants.
